Chess Table / Backgammon Table

An intriguing coffee table come chess table, with a secret backgammon board hidden underneath, made with hand painted slate fitted into an old school science desk. Intriguing and versatile, you can play your favourite games over a drink wherever you fancy: cosy by the fire, outdoors in the garden, in the pub, or in the park.

The table top is made from a reclaimed tropical hardwood school science table which sits on legs built out of salvaged sturdy Welsh oak fence posts. The games board is made of local Welsh slate and lifts off to reveal a hidden backgammon board underneath! When you're not in the mood for games, you can hide your chess and backgammon pieces in the secret compartment and flip the chess board to have a simple black slate coffee table that is elegant and easy to wipe clean.
